- I love to read and have found many ancestors doing genealogy. I tap dance and go to the gym and walk for exercise. Swimming and skating are also fun for me.
Why do you want to be a tutor?
- As a former kindergarten teacher and tutor I have worked with many children ages 5-7. I enjoy watching young children learn and being a positive part of their education. Learning can be fun and for a child having difficulty it is not. I want to help a child feel good and proud about himself/herself and love to go to school.
Why should a student pick you?
- It is rewarding to help a child who is struggling and see the spark in the child's eye when he or she gets the concept and understands. I know how to help a child get 'it' and become successful. I am dependable and punctual and will always be there when I say I will.
Personal Statement:
- I have many years of teaching and tutoring experience. I taught kindergarten and have tutored children ages 5-7. I can help with all subjects but specialize in reading and phonics. I wrote and self-published a book with activities parents can use to prepare their child for school from birth to kindergarten. It is called 'Let's Begin on the path to school readiness'. Every child I have tutored has been successful.
