Why do you want to be a tutor?
- I want to be a tutor because I want to pass my love learning onto others. I did some tutoring of classmates in my MBA program at Carnegie Mellon, and I enjoyed passing on my knowledge and helping people to succeed.
Why should a student pick you?
- I am smart and love to learn. When I was younger I had trouble in math even my teachers thought I would never be capable of succeeding in any environment doing math. I had a tutor instill a love of math and learning and I was able to succeed beyond others expectations. My current job involves using statistics in the context of business. I would love to pass that experience on to others.
Personal Statement:
- I believe that life-long learning is important. I understand what it feels like to have trouble in a subject and then suddenly succeed beyond everyone's expectations. In this economy education is so important and I want to help others succeed long into the future.
